Being both a firm believer in Christ and a hard-core trekkie, I come across some conflicts between the two.  The rest of this page will be on my take of the moral synopsis of Star Trek.  ( And some of it will be just on my trekkie's opinion on the course of action in the two series.)

First and foremost, I have to voice just one question for the producers and story writers…  WHY DID THEY BLOW UP THE DEFIANT??!!!!!
I can't believe they would simply destroy such a wonderful symbol of the hope of the Federation's defeat of the Dominion.  I mean, they won't destroy the starship Voyager before the crew gets home will they?  The Enterprise wasn't destroyed until the later movie, and even then was replaced by a new alien-kick'n, rough-n-tough, are-you-talkin'- to-me? starship.
